Get your Christmas shopping started with the first ever Girls Night Out! It's an open house/socializing/shopping/fundraising event. This year, the beneficiary is Restoring Hope Transplant House.

Last week I met with Cindy Herbst, the executive director, and got a tour of the house. Once it's finished, it will be an amazing place for families to stay while they are getting treatment at UW Hospital. Many people have asked why did I choose Restoring Hope? During times of transplant and cancer, there is no substitute for family. And I feel every penny raised will make a difference.

So, please stop by the studio on November 15 from 5-8 pm. Remember, the first 40 guests to arrive will receive a gift bag too!

I certainly have weddings on the brain this week as my last round of brides received their images for the first time. It's always so much fun to share the images! Here are a few of my favorites...

For the first time this year, I am going to be offering limited edition holiday portrait sessions on November 28. These 30 minute sessions are shorter and will be in the studio with the black background.

The prepaid session fee is $199 and includes a set of 24 custom holiday cards and two 5x7 prints. (Additional portraits may be ordered as well.) The sessions are going quickly...only 3 left...please call or email me to pick your time!

This is the time of year where outdoor sessions are in the afternoon rather than evening and the weather is unpredictable. One day it's 30 degrees and the next is 80! Thankfully, I had the good fortune of great weather during two weddings recently. Perfect days really. While I do like umbrellas and fun raining pictures on wedding days, I'll take sun any day!

It's not too late to schedule a session for holiday pictures. Great gift ideas include custom greeting cards, gift prints, and jewelry! Sessions are currently available at the end of the month and in early November.

I am in midst of planning and finalizing the details of my first "Girls Night Out" event on November 15. A fun night of food and wine, shopping, and to raise money for a local organization. Invitations will be sent out this week...
